Best Cougar Wishes
HSP's Moms of the Class of 2014 and 2013 came together to make care packages for our most recent alumni. Included in the care packages were letters from our students and teachers. The Class of 2014 received their care packages the week before their first college exams. Best Cougar Wishes to the Class of 2014!
HSP Alumni Tailgated Friday, September 26th before the Homecoming Game. They enjoyed a delicious dinner from Henry's Louisiana Grill. Holy Spirit Prep's varsity Cougar football team demonstrated some of its finest performances this season as it rocked Griffin Christian High 52-20 during HSP's Homecoming celebration. Capping a week of school spirit, the team took to its home field turf in front of a neon crowd of supporters and, by half time, had firmly established their dominance on the field, topping the scoreboard at 31-6. Over four quarters, the Cougars racked up 239 running yards, averaging 5 yard per carry, and earned 7 total touchdowns by 5 different players - the most points against any team since their 2008-09 season. The Cougars' victory against Griffin Christian places them 2-0 in region games and 3-2 overall. MVPs from the game include:
Halftime at homecoming featured an adorable cheering demonstration featuring our Pre-K and Lower School cheerleaders, supported by our varsity squad - and, of course, the presentation of the Homecoming court. Congratulations go to the entire Homecoming court presented at half time, including Austin Thomas, Peter Nagel, Kyle Winkler, Alex Mays, Meredith Jones, Catherine Johnson, and especially our Homecoming King and Queen, Drew Vincent and Megan Radosta.

Young Women's Retreat
On Saturday, March 8th, the HSP Alumni Association's Spiritual Committee, chaired by Lauren Winkler ('10), held its first ever retreat for HSP alumnae at the Life Teen Mission District, a Sandy Springs Catholic books and goods store, through the assistance of Life Teen International's sales coordinator, Zach Raus ('06). Represented were the classes of 2008, 2010, and 2011. The retreat was led by HSP's very own chaplain, who made himself available to hear confessions all morning. Speakers included Fr. Juan Hernandez, who has been stepping in for Fr. David Daly during his call to Rome; Siobhan O'Connor, campus minister at Pinecrest Academy; and alumna Andrea Richards ('08). The morning began with a delicious breakfast followed by powerful reflections, group discussions, and culminating with a Mass offered for the intentions of our alumni. The young women finished off the day with a delicious lunch at Mellow Mushroom, where they enthusiastically discussed ideas for the next opportunity for spiritual renewal. What the young women appreciated most was the support and encouragement they received from coming together as a female support group of close friends from HSP.
HSP's alumni association appears to be unique in its approach to alumni and in hosting events of this kind in partnership with its alums. We are grateful for our strong team of vibrant alumni Chairs who are offering various opportunities for social, spiritual, and athletic bonding for our tight-knit community of alumni. The Spiritual Committee will be offering a retreat for our male graduates on June 14th.
